Happy Wally West Day!
DC Comics may be ignoring Wally West, but Mattel sure isn’t! This figure has been long awaited and fan demanded by many, many people and is sure to go fast (hehe), so pick him up before he is gone from the site in a flash (did you honestly think I could resist?). He goes on sale 12:00pm ET (9:00am PT) over on MattyCollector.com. Here is the bundle page that includes all of the figures Mattel will have on sale, just in case anything else might tickle your fancy: Matty Collector Bundle Page.
Wally West The Flash $20.00
After Barry Allen made the ultimate sacrifice during the Crisis on Infinite Earths, his nephew and protégé Kid Flash stepped up to serve as the new speedster DC Super Hero. This Wally Westversion of The Flash figure arrives with an all-new head and boot sculpt… as Wally finally takes his place in the DC Universe lineup!
Silk Spectre also goes on sale tomorrow. Same time, same place.
Silk Spectre $25.00
When Laurie Juspeczyk says she’s used to going out at three in the morning to do something stupid, she’s not talking about the usual bar crawl. This masked avenger carries on the family vigilante tradition as daughter of the original Silk Spectre. She appears as a fully-articulated 6” figure, one of six members of the Watchmen core collection, all in comic-book style for the first time. Silk Spectre arrives with a yellow base with black Watchmen logo in special Watchmen book-type packaging, and an original Watchmen “oversized” trading card with all-new art and character bio.
This is a limited series inspired by one of the all-time greatest comics and will include all six Watchmen team members by year’s end. When the series is complete, the iconic graffiti-style Watchmen logo will be revealed when all packages are placed side-by-side and the Doomsday clock will count down to zero when viewed from the front.

Happy Elongated Man Day!
The long awaited Elongated Man goes on sale tomorrow at 12:00pm ET (9:00am PT) over on MattyCollector.com, so don’t forget to pick up this classic character! Here is the MattyCollector Bundle Page, in case there is anything else that might tickle your fancy.
Elongated Man $20.00
It’s no stretch to say that Elongated Man was once a member of the Justice League… before he was a ghost detective, Ralph Dibny went the extra distance to solve mysteries, thanks to the special powers of the gingo fruit elixir! This fully articulated figure arrives in his fan-demanded 1985 uniform with swappable arm and hand. Also includes his trademark magnifying glass for all his snooping needs. Twitchy nose not included!
Doctor Manhattan also goes on sale tomorrow. Same time, same place.
Doctor Manhattan $25.00
The doctor is in. Is he in this dimension? That’s another story. This decidedly dispassionate physicist works for the government, but lives outside the normal realm of space and time. Fully articulated, this first-ever 6” comic-book style figure, one of six core members, arrives with a yellow base with black Watchmen logo in special Watchmen book-type packaging. Doctor Manhattan also includes an original Watchmen “oversized” trading card with all-new art and character bio.
This figure is one of six in a limited series inspired by one of the all-time greatest comics and will include all six Watchmen team members by year’s end. When the series is complete, the iconic graffiti-style Watchmen logo will be revealed when all packages are placed side-by-side and the Doomsday clock will count down to zero when viewed from the front.
Happy Phantom Stranger Day!
Phantom Stranger is going to be on sale over at MattyCollector.com at 12:00pm ET (9:00am PT), so head on over a pick him up! He is well worth it! Here is the MattyCollector Bundle Page, which contains all the figures going on sale.
Phantom Stranger $20.00
Who is thePhantom Stranger? With immense power, this supernatural man of mystery serves as a force for good as he searches for redemption. This seemingly all-knowing being is himself unknowable. Keeping a vigilant and watchful eye on the happenings of the universe, the Phantom Stranger arrives as a fully articulated figure, with signature cape and a real metal coin chain around his neck. (A reminder of the eternal debt he owes humankind.)
Pre-Toy Fair Surprise’s!
EDIT: None of the pictures are loading properly except Faora.
Mattel has put all the DC toy nerds in a whirl wind this week with all the new action figures that have either leaked or been officially announced by Mattel.
First off, Mattel’s DC Club Infinite Earths Subscriptionfigures.
Fire and a painted Huntress (she was revealed at Comic-Con last year un-painted) were leaked online this week. Both of the figures, in my opinion, look a little off. Huntress looks the worst out of the two, which is very disappointing considering she is my favorite DC Comics character. Overall they look good, but they could definitely be better.
And while we are talking about Mattel’s subscription figures, a photo of The Comedian from Mattel’s Watchmen Club Black Freighter Subscriptionleaked with Huntress and Fire and looks absolutely fantastic!
And now onto retail!
Mattel announced back at Comic-Con that they were going to produce a 6 inch 1966 Batman line, and guess what has just leaked? Pictures of the first three figures and… The Batmobile (which looks perfect)!
Batman (Adam West):
Riddler (Frank Gorshin):
Penguin (Burgess Meredith):
And now for the last reveal for tonight, Faora from Mattel’s Superman: Man Of Steel action figure line! Very excited for this line, all the figures look amazing so far and can’t wait to see the rest! Here to hoping for a Lois Lane figure!
Very happy with every reveal and now I’m even more excited for Toy Fair! Can’t wait for tomorrow!
Eternia & Infinite Earths Shipping Confirmations Statement From Mattel.
Today Mattel added a post to their Facebook page to help fans understand the recent charges for their 2013 subs:
Club Eternia & Infinite Earths Subscribers, We’ve heard some of you are confused about the order confirmation for your January shipments and we can understand why! To help clarify, first, here’s how the initial signup and payment works: When you sign up for your subscription during the open enrollment in July/August, your credit card is charged for the membership fee, which pays for the club exclusive figure. When the first club figure ships in January, you are charged only for that January figure and tax/shipping/handling.
Now here’s where it gets tricky… When your January subscription was shipped, we sent a SHIPMENT CONFIRMATION. The Total shown on this confirmation includes both the original membership fee (which you paid last summer) and the cost of the January figure, plus tax/shipping/handling. The membership fee and the figure/tax/shipping/handling are both included because they’re technically all part of the same original order placed last summer. So even though the membership fee isn’t shown as a separate line item, the amount is included in the total on the confirmation (we’re working to rectify this for next year).
In the box with your shipment is an INVOICE. This invoice shows the actual amount you were charged for January – the first figure and the tax/shipping/handling (your bank statement will also reflect this amount). You were not actually charged again for the membership fee. Please note this only happens in January. From February through December, your order confirmations and invoices will all match. And when it’s time for the club-exclusive figure to ship, you’ll only be charged tax/shipping/handling – the figure itself was already covered by the membership fee you paid last summer. Hope that helps!
Happy Saint Walker Day!
Saint Walker went on sale over at MattyCollector.com this afternoon at 12:00 EST and is still available if you want him, so head on over and buy him before he’s gone!
Saint Walker $20.00
Saint Walker is feeling blue… and that’s good news for the universe! The first Blue Lantern truly believes in the power of hope, and uses his unwavering faith to bring positive change, give new life to dying suns, and fight evil wherever it arises. This fully articulated figure comes with his Blue Lantern power battery.
Rorschach was also available but he is sold out as of now, but I’m sure you can find him on eBay. He is the first figure in the all-new Watchmen action figure toy line from Mattel!
How do you pass the Rorschach test? It’s simple… don’t be a criminal. If you just can’t help yourself, this complicated crime-fighter will dispense his special brand of justice. The masked vigilante from the world of Watchmen is rendered for the first time ever as a 6” fully articulated figure in comic-book style. Rorschach comes in unique book-type packaging, with grappling gun and yellow base with black Watchmen logo. Also includes an original Watchmen “oversized” trading card with all-new art and character bio.
Happy Lead and Platinum with Tin Day!
Lead and Platinum (with Tin) from The Metal Men go on sale today at 12:00 noon EST Time on MattyCollector.com.
Professor Will Magnus gets Lead out to battle the bad guys and help him avoid unwanted exposure to radiation… but this big lug is also lovable, with a tender heart to go with those powerful fists. This “oversized” figure is the final core member to complete the Metal Men team of robot superheroes!
Platinum with Tin $18.00
Platinum is made from the least reactive metal… but you’d never know it from her emotional personality. Doc Magnus blames it on a faulty Responsometer, but we know the cause is an incurable case of robot love. This fully articulated figure is teamed up with Tin, smaller in stature and articulated at the head and shoulders, and together they represent two of the final figures to complete your Metal Men collection.
Man Of Steel 3.75” Line Leaked?
Here is something that Mattel probably didn’t want making the rounds. This prototype was found on eBay from a user in China. No doubt the Chinese production facility had a worker sneak some out and sold them to a lucky customer. While it isn’t a painted piece, it does give us a look at the sculpt and what it will look like. I’m not sure if this is a bootleg or a custom, but it seems legit.
I wish Mattel would up their articulation on their 3.75” line, but I guess it won’t happen in 2013.
Welcome to my DC Universe Classics Collection! Ain’t she a beaut?
Mattel Announce’s Second “Mix” Of The NEW DC Unlimited and Batman Unlimited Lines!
