Transported years ago to Earth from Krypton, a highly advanced, distant planet, Clark struggles with the ultimate question ‘Why am I here?’ Shaped by the values of his adoptive parents Martha (Diane Lane) and Jonathan Kent (Kevin Costner), Clark discovers having extraordinary abilities means making difficult decisions. When the world is in dire need of stability, an even greater threat emerges. Clark must become a Man of Steel, to protect the people he loves and shine as the world’s beacon of hope – Superman.

Happy Wally West Day!

DC Comics may be ignoring Wally West, but Mattel sure isn’t! This figure has been long awaited and fan demanded by many, many people and is sure to go fast (hehe), so pick him up before he is gone from the site in a flash (did you honestly think I could resist?). He goes on sale 12:00pm ET (9:00am PT) over on MattyCollector.com. Here is the bundle page that includes all of the figures Mattel will have on sale, just in case anything else might tickle your fancy: Matty Collector Bundle Page.

Wally West The Flash $20.00

After Barry Allen made the ultimate sacrifice during the Crisis on Infinite Earths, his nephew and protégé Kid Flash stepped up to serve as the new speedster DC Super Hero. This Wally Westversion of The Flash figure arrives with an all-new head and boot sculpt… as Wally finally takes his place in the DC Universe lineup!
__________

Silk Spectre also goes on sale tomorrow. Same time, same place.

Silk Spectre $25.00

When Laurie Juspeczyk says she’s used to going out at three in the morning to do something stupid, she’s not talking about the usual bar crawl. This masked avenger carries on the family vigilante tradition as daughter of the original Silk Spectre. She appears as a fully-articulated 6” figure, one of six members of the Watchmen core collection, all in comic-book style for the first time. Silk Spectre arrives with a yellow base with black Watchmen logo in special Watchmen book-type packaging, and an original Watchmen “oversized” trading card with all-new art and character bio.
This is a limited series inspired by one of the all-time greatest comics and will include all six Watchmen team members by year’s end. When the series is complete, the iconic graffiti-style Watchmen logo will be revealed when all packages are placed side-by-side and the Doomsday clock will count down to zero when viewed from the front.

New Superman: Man Of Steel image from an upcoming issue of Empire Magazine!
Variety’s Senior Writer , Marc Graser, has the scoop that Walmart will become “the first retailer to sell tickets to an advance screening of a studio film.” That of course being for Warner Bros.’ new film, Man Of Steel.
The mega-retailer has over 3,700 stores nationwide. They will have almost 1 million tickets to offer for the new Superman film, beginning May 18, at 8 a.m., for screenings scheduled June 13 (film officially opens June 14). That gives Walmart a healthy leg up on the more traditional competition which will be able to offer advance tickets three to four days later, May 21 or 22.
“The 6,372 exclusive screenings will take place at 2,379 theaters, with consumers able to purchase up to four tix for either 2D or 3D showings in their area. Walmart will promote the early sales on Facebook and Twitter with #SeeSteelFirst. The amount of tickets available per store will be determined by their size and the cities in which they’re located.
To sweeten the deal, the ticket price will include a free code to pre-order a Blu-ray combo pack or HD digital download of “Man of Steel,” which will contain exclusive film content. They also will get a free original digital comicbook penned by “Man of Steel” screenwriter David Goyer. - Marc Graser”
